Where to Stay in Braga

Historic heart of Braga with pedestrian streets, churches, cafés and most main sights within easy walking distance. Ideal if you want to live in the middle of the action, close to coworking spaces, nightlife and restaurants. Apartments are older but full of character, and you can do almost everything on foot.

Eastern districts close to the University of Minho campus, with many students, younger residents and modern apartment blocks. More residential than the old town but still well connected by bus. Good value for money, especially for medium to long stays, with supermarkets and casual eateries on your doorstep.

Leafy hillside neighborhoods overlooking Braga, close to Bom Jesus do Monte and green areas. Known for villas, newer buildings and quiet streets. More expensive but very pleasant if you value space, views and a calm atmosphere. You will usually need a car or be comfortable using taxis and buses.

Suburban area to the south-west of the centre with a mix of apartment blocks and houses. More affordable than the historic core but still a short drive or bus ride into town. Good choice if you want extra space, parking and a quieter environment while keeping access to Braga's amenities.
