💬 What Nomads Say
Real reviews from digital nomads
"Nusa Lembongan is exactly what I needed to escape the chaos of Bali. I spent three weeks here and fell completely in love with the island lifestyle. The pace is slower, the beaches are stunning, and the sunsets with Mount Agung in the background are unreal. I worked mostly from Bali Eco Deli which has surprisingly good WiFi for such a remote island. Yes, connectivity can be spotty elsewhere, but honestly that forced me to disconnect and actually enjoy being present. The cost of living is incredibly affordable - my beachfront bungalow was $35/night, and amazing Indonesian meals at local warungs cost just $4. The snorkeling is world-class, I swam with manta rays! If you can handle imperfect WiFi and want a true island escape, this place is paradise."
"Beautiful island with a great vibe, but not ideal for serious remote work. I came expecting to work full-time and had to adjust my expectations. The WiFi at cafes is hit or miss - some days great, other days I couldn't do video calls. I ended up using mobile data as backup which worked better. That said, if you can be flexible with your schedule and work during off-peak hours, it's doable. The diving here is incredible, the beaches are pristine, and there's no traffic or noise. I loved renting a scooter and exploring the whole island in an afternoon. The food scene is better than expected with great healthy cafes. Just don't come here expecting Canggu-level digital nomad infrastructure. It's an island escape first, workspace second."
"I wanted to love Lembongan more than I did. The natural beauty is undeniable - Devil's Tear at sunset was magical, and the beaches are gorgeous. But as a digital nomad who needs reliable internet for daily client calls, it was frustrating. The WiFi dropped constantly, ATMs were often empty so I had to ferry back to Bali for cash, and the roads are really rough on a scooter. There's also not much nightlife if you're looking for that social nomad scene. Healthcare is basic - just a small clinic for emergencies. That said, it's very safe, incredibly peaceful, and much cheaper than mainland Bali. Perfect for a week-long digital detox or if you have very flexible work. But for full-time remote work, I'd recommend Canggu or Ubud instead."
