Sliema Waterfront
Modern apartment blocks and promenades facing Valletta across the water. Packed with cafΓ©s, shopping centres and beach clubs with ladders straight into the sea.

Entertainment and nightlife hub with bars, clubs, casinos and seafront restaurants. Very lively, especially in summer, with more noise and tourist traffic than other areas.
Three Cities (Vittoriosa, Senglea, Cospicua)

π¬ What Nomads Say
Real reviews from digital nomads
"Valletta is one of my favourite bases in Europe. I spent two months there working UK hours from Grand Central and some cafΓ©s in the old town. Everything is walkable, the views are ridiculous and I always felt safe walking home at night. Internet in my Sliema flat was around 250 Mbps and mobile data on Epic never gave me issues. It is not cheap, but compared to London or Zurich it felt reasonable for the lifestyle."
"I used Valletta as a winter base for three months and really enjoyed the mild weather and sunshine. I worked mostly from home in Floriana plus a coworking pass at Business Labs. The island is small, so on weekends I could explore different bays and villages without long travel times. Downsides: rent in central areas is high, and the bus network can be slow at rush hour. Nightlife is limited in Valletta itself, so I went to St Julian's when I wanted more action."
"Valletta is stunning but it felt a bit small after a while. After six weeks I felt like I knew every street and cafΓ©. It is a great place to focus on deep work and enjoy views, but if you rely on a big social scene you might prefer a larger city. Also, prices in Valletta and Sliema surprised me β more like Western Europe than a cheap island. Still, I would happily come back for a focused month in spring or autumn."
