Where to Stay in El Zonte

The eastern side of El Zonte is home to the famous point break and most of the town's accommodations, restaurants, and surf schools. This is where the main action happens with Esencia Nativa, Puro Surf, and many boutique hotels. The beach here is rockier but offers the best surfing conditions. El Tunco is El Salvador's most famous surf destination with numerous hostels, bars, and restaurants. El Sunzal features one of the country's best waves and a more upscale dining scene. Consider staying here if you want more options and don't mind a busier atmosphere. Easy to visit El Zonte for day trips while having more amenities at your doorstep.
