Basilica del Santo Niño

The oldest Roman Catholic church in the Philippines, founded in 1565. Houses the famous Santo Niño de Cebu statue, believed to be the oldest Christian relic in the country. The church survived multiple fires and earthquakes, rebuilt each time. A major pilgrimage site especially during the Sinulog Festival in January when millions gather. Magellan's Cross

Historic wooden cross planted by Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan in 1521, marking the arrival of Christianity in the Philippines.
